PRINCE OF PEACE

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Throughout Israel’s history, the dove became a sacred sign—of purity, of deliverance, of God drawing near. It heralded the end of the flood, rested upon Israel’s offerings, and descended upon Christ at His baptism as a witness of divine peace. In Him, peace is not merely the quieting of conflict, but the restoring presence of God with His people. He is the Prince of Peace, the fullness of shalom—the deep, wholeness-bringing peace that heals, reconciles, and makes all things whole before God.
