LAMB OF GOD

John 1:29 
“Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”

In calling Jesus the Lamb of God, John affirmed Him as the fulfillment of prophecy—the hope of Israel, the promised One, the true Paschal Lamb whose sacrifice would deliver His people. From ancient Israel onward, the lamb embodied purity, atonement, and deliverance, most especially in the Passover that marked God’s power to save. We are invited to behold Him with reverence and gratitude, remembering the mercy He extends to each of us through His perfect love.
